Fun theory is making a boring or unpleasant task more fun and enjoyable. It doesn't necessarily make the task easier but it makes people more likely to do things like recycle or take the stairs instead of the escalator. Fun theory could be used on something like doing the dishes or other chores.

Embrace the Shake was very inspiring. It was really amazing to me that he turned what prevented him from making art for 3 years into his inspiration. The artwork he made using limitations was really inventive. What he did while "embracing the shake" wasn't what I was expecting while watching the video. It's really inspiring that he was "liberated by being limited". Envision At the beginning of the project, I couldn't find any inspiration for my pumkin online so i had to develop an original idea and think creatively. I started out with a zombie and the further along I got, the more I figured out what I wanted my final product to be. I ended with one side being a zombie face and the other side looking like its head was blown up exposing its brain. Engage and Persist When I decided how I wanted the back of the pumpkin to look I couldn't figure out how to do it. I couldn't cut open the pumpkin because that would make it rot faster and I couldn't think of any materials I could use. I chose to use scrunched up tape and paint over it but it wouldn't stay on the pumpkin. I ended up gluing it down and putting another piece on the back of it so there would be a smooth transition from pumpkin to tape. Develop Craft Using tape as a part of my artwork was difficult, obviously I know how to use tape but I wasn't sure how to make it look like skin or transition into the pumpkin. It ended up not being too hard and it looked ok when I painted it. I tried to make the paint on the back look like blood but it didn't turn out how I wanted it to. I learned from it though and if I did it again it would look better. |
